Jindal Steel & Power Begins Observation of 51st National Safety Week

Angoule: The celebration of the 51st National Safety Week Observation began today at Jindal Steel and Power’s (JSP) Angul Steel Mega Complex with a host of programs aimed at raising awareness among employees, workers and the community about the security practices.

The week-long observation began with the hoisting of the safety flag by Asst. Director of Plants and Boilers Ms. Archana Dash, who joined as a key guest in the inaugural program. Mr. Hridayeswar Jha, Angul Site Manager of JSP, Executive Directors Mr. Damodar Mittal, Mr. Sabyasachi Bandyopadhyay, Plant Manager Mr. Atul Dubey and other senior officials attended the occasion.

Addressing the occasion, Mr. Hridayeswar Jha highlighted JSP’s commitment to adopting best practices for the safety of its employees and workers. “Safety is an integral part of JSP’s culture and all employees and workers must strictly follow safety guidelines to make JSP Angul Plant a safe place to work,” he said.

Mr. Damodar Mittal congratulated all employees for achieving record production and underlined the importance of safety in our personal and professional life.

Mr. Sabyasachi Bandyopadhyay also reminded everyone of the importance of security. He insisted on the use of safety equipment to avoid injuries at work.

Mr. Atul Dubey welcomed all dignitaries and assured them that JSP management is fully committed to ensuring the health, safety and well-being of its entire workforce.

On this occasion, a signature campaign was also organized and signed by Ms. Dash, the EDs, and all the HODs to devote to security. Ms. Dash and Mr. Jha also flagged a Suraksha Rath to raise safety awareness throughout the factory. The program will continue until March 10, 2022.
